Perched at the top of the village of Gratallops, this hotel and restaurant was opened a few years ago by Cristina and Waldo, who came to the Priorat from Madrid. This hotel is charming, well located and efficiently run by its owners who are on hand at all times to help their guests. Rooms are ensuite and colourful with a modern decor. Unfortunately smoking is allowed in the bar at the entrance to the building. Price per double room from 90-130 Euros. A great place from which to explore the Priorat! |

A lot of the holiday accommodation use the prefix: CAL. This is Catalan and means "the house belonging to". In the small villages of the Priorat, each and every one of the houses has a "nickname" and everyone who lives in the house is known by this name. Sometimes it is related to their surname, but often it is a lot older than the family or refers to someone who lived there many years ago.
