For many years this was the only hotel in the area. Recently refurbished, it has 18 rooms (one a top floor suite with two balonies) and is based on the main street of Falset, the capital of the Priorat region. Great location. Price per double room around 70-80 Euros (Suite 135 Euros). Clean and well run, this is a good option for those who are enroute to other places as it is well located in the centre of Falset. |

A lot of the holiday accommodation use the prefix: CAL. This is Catalan and means "the house belonging to". In the small villages of the Priorat, each and every one of the houses has a "nickname" and everyone who lives in the house is known by this name. Sometimes it is related to their surname, but often it is a lot older than the family or refers to someone who lived there many years ago.
