ONE DAY WINE TOUR TO PRIORAT BY TRAIN (or by private vehicle/transport)

2013: Bespoke/On demand

There are so many ways to enjoy a day out in the country. We start off by taking the train from downtown Barcelona (Passeig de Gràcia or Sants Station) and head south towards Tarragona. As the train winds its way along the Mediterranean coast, our guests will enjoy wonderful views over the sea and surrounding countryside (far better than driving!). As the train leaves Tarragona station, it heads away from the sea and up into the mountains, behind which lies the Priorat region. Your guide and local expert, Rachel Ritchie will be there to welcome you as you arrive at MARÇÀ-FALSET train station.

Rachel, has lived in Priorat for over 8 years and is married to a local Prioratí with whom she has two children. She will take you to visit three wineries during the day, all chosen by her to contrast with one another - modern, old, family-run.... Time permitting, you will also visit one of the cultural sites of the region, the Carthusian monastery of Scala Dei or the hill-top village of Siurana, before heading back over the mountains to re-join the train-line at REUS.

We hope this day trip will give you an insight into the stunning Priorat region and (we hope) will make you wish you had chosen our two or even three day option.... Well, there is still time to make up your mind!!!

Our tours are bespoke tours, tailor-made to your requirements. We know that everyone is different and has different tastes and so we aim to fit our tours to our client's needs and taste... The best way to get the best out of your hard-earned leisure time is to contact Rachel via email so she can set up a personalised route for you. Looking forward to hearing from you!!
