Day One

Arrival at Cal Compte stately home/rural hotel at noon. The afternoon activities include a historic organ concert, walking tour of nearby vineyards to watch the sun go down, followed by Cal Compte Wine Welcome and supper.

Day Two

Today we head for the capital of the Priorat region to meet our chef, Matías Fernández who will be introducing us to the cuisine of the region. Accompanied by Matías, our guests will learn how to make a typical recipe of the region and then stay for lunch with the chef.. Afterwards, we pay a visit to Falset's new "Castle of Wine" and return to Cal Compte for a guided olive oil tasting and tapas supper on the open air colonial terrace.

Day Three

Exlusive observation tour of harvest at Clos Mogador winery owned by René Barbier and his family. This winery spearheaded the changes in wine-making techniques which lead to a dramatic turn in the future of the modern Priorat wine scene. We take a break at lunchtime for a meal at the family's exclusive "haute cuisine" restaurant in the same village with food and wine pairing of Clos Mogador wines. After lunch we return to Cal Compte for a well-earned siesta. Once rested we will visit one of the most beautiful viewpoints of Priorat, the Consolació Hermitage, where Alvaro Palaciós has his prize "Ermita" vineyards.

Day Four
Today, we start off with a ten minute drive to the charming village of Porrera. We will take a 4x4 vehicle to the Mas de la Rosa vineyards of Vall Llach winery high up in the hills above the village. This will be followed by a winery tour and tasting at the winery. Before lunch we continue the wine theme by visiting another winery which has changed the Priorat in recent years. We will visit Cims de Porrera with owner and winemaker, Adrià Pérez.. Lunch in the same village at a traditional food restaurant and return to Cal Compte for our afternoon rest. Around 6pm we return to Falset to meet Matías in his kitchen to learn about creative desserts. Evening meal with Matías.

Day Five

Our last day in the Priorat and we start off with a visit to Scala Dei Monastery, followed by an olive oil tasting in a former olive oil mill in the village which once belonged to the monks. We continue with a tour and tasting at Cellers d'Scala Dei, the first winery to start bottling its wines back in 1974. Lunch in a great, good food restaurant in the little village of La Vilella Baixa. Afternoon free to do shopping in nearby Reus or Falset.
